This fascinating tour leads you all the way to Kashghar in China through the scenic Himalayas and splendid Karakorams. Starting from the modern capital, Islamabad, you proceed further through Gandahara Buddhist remains at Taxila to the Himalayas. Throughout the journey you come by almost a new culture you travel everyday. Experience the change of cluture through enchanting valleys through the Himalayas and KKH till you reach to Kashghar. You proceed to historic Swat valley and you would come by the artistic hands when you visit the Museum and local markets. Switch to the KKH next day for overnight at Chilas, the region famous for stone collection, and to Gilgit the next day. It takes only three hours to Gilgit from Chilas. After lunch, you can visit local market and famous Karga Buddah in Gilgit. Another three hour journey leads you to Fairytale Hunza valley but it takes longer as the megnificent glimpses and several view points on the Karakoram force you to halt juorney. It will take you a full day in Hunza to visit Altit Fort and Baltit Fort plus an afternoon visit to Hoper Glacier. Besides, your day starts with the early morning sunrise at Rakaposhi from Duikar valley above Karimabad. You will find yourself in the real fairyland once you go up to the Baltit Fort and start looking around. The set up of mountains is just magnificent around Karimabad. Karakoram now takes you to Kashghar (China) through Khunjarab border between China and Pakistan. Enjoy your vist to Kashgar and then get back to Pakistan.
You are again welcome back to Pakistan from Kashghar. From Sust, you will be heading to Gulmit where you will have a wonderful day visiting the Gulkin glacier and Borit Lake. It is an interesting day hike crossing a glacer bordering two tiny valleys. Proceed to Karimabad for lunch the next day and visit local market as you can easily approach Gilgit even if you start in the late afternoon. Pack up everything right after you reach to Gilgit and get ready for an areal view if you fly to Islamabad. If not, get prepared to travel by road along the KKH to Besham and the next day to Islamabad, the capital.
