1. When is Peak Autumn Foliage in Hunza?
Autumn in northern Pakistan moves from higher elevations down to the lower valleys:
- Early October (Oct 1 – Oct 15): Upper Hunza (Gojal, Passu, Gulmit, Shimshal) peaks first due to higher elevation.
- Mid to Late October (Oct 15 – Nov 5): Central Hunza (Karimabad, Altit, Ganish) and Nagar Valley reach their most vibrant peak.
- Early November (Nov 1 – Nov 15): Lower Hunza, Gilgit, and Skardu display rich late golden tones.
